About Us

Backyard Storage sits on FM78 East in Marion, and it was built to feel like part of this community, not a name people only recognize from the highway. This is a single facility, and we like it that way. It means the people managing it actually know the property, and know the kind of things folks around here need to store.

Marion is still the kind of town where FM78 is a two lane road for most of its length and people know each other's trucks. A lot of our neighbors have land instead of a subdivision lot, and a boat or a trailer or a work truck that a standard garage was never built for. We built this facility around that, with a real mix of drive up units and vehicle parking, covered and open air, instead of treating parking as an afterthought.

We're close enough to Canyon Lake, Lake McQueeney, Lake Dunlap, and the Guadalupe River that owning a boat and spending weekends on the water is just normal life out here. We also see a lot of folks coming from Schertz, Cibolo, and New Braunfels, where the growth has been fast and the room for a boat or an RV in the driveway hasn't kept up with it.

On site we keep a propane fill station, an air and water station, and a dump station, because a lot of what people store with us gets used on the lake most weekends and needs somewhere practical to sit in between.

We're not trying to be the biggest facility in the area. We're trying to be the one that actually makes sense for how people live out here, whether that's a homeowner without room for a boat, a contractor who needs a secure spot for a trailer between jobs, or someone whose HOA back in town won't let half of what they own sit outside overnight.
