Backyard Storage gives you a real place to park the stuff that doesn't fit at home. RVs, travel trailers, boats, classic cars, work trucks, utility trailers. We're at 885 FM78 East in Marion, which puts us within an easy drive of Schertz, Cibolo, Universal City, Selma, Seguin, and the NE side of San Antonio. If your HOA won't let you park an RV in the driveway, or your garage is already stuffed, or the boat keeps getting in the way of the lawnmower, this is what we do.
What people store with us
A short list of the most common ones:
- Class A, B, and C RVs
- Travel trailers and pop-ups
- Fifth wheels
- Boats on trailers (bass boats, ski boats, pontoons)
- Utility and equipment trailers
- Classic cars and project vehicles
- Extra daily-driver cars and work trucks
- Motorcycles, ATVs, and side-by-sides
If you're not sure whether your vehicle will fit, give us a call and we'll talk it through.
Why people pick us over parking at home
A lot of it comes down to space and rules. HOAs in Schertz, Cibolo, and the newer Marion subdivisions are usually pretty strict about RVs, trailers, and commercial-looking vehicles in the driveway. Even when it's allowed, the driveway gets crowded fast.
A few reasons our customers move their stuff here:
- HOA notices
- Driveway is full
- The RV is sun-fading sitting at home
- Spouse wants the boat out of the yard
- Need somewhere to park the work trailer between jobs
- Got a new vehicle and ran out of room
How's the Parking lot like
We're a gated outdoor lot with cameras and on-site management. The drive aisles are wide enough for full-length fifth wheels and Class A motorhomes, so you're not trying to thread a trailer through a tight turn every time you come and go.
Standard things you'd want:
- Gated entry with code access
- Cameras around the property
- Lighting at night
- On-site manager
- Wide aisles built for big rigs
A real perk most facilities don't have: propane refills on-site
This is the one we get asked about most by RV folks. We have a propane filling station right on the property. So when you pull in to grab the RV before a trip, you can top off your tanks at the same stop. Most other storage lots send you 15 minutes down the road to a Tractor Supply or U-Haul for that.
See the Propane Filling Station page for what we fill and when we're open for refills.
Easy to get to from across the area
We're on FM 78. Driving times from the main areas around us: Marion, Schertz, Cibolo, Universal City and Randolph AFB, Selma and the Forum; Seguin, New Braunfels & NE San Antonio. If your old storage spot was further into the city, the drive out to us is usually shorter than people expect.
How to get a spot
Call (830) 743-5311 and we'll let you know what's open. We try to give people a real answer the same day, not a generic "we'll call you back". If you'd rather come look first, you can drop by during office hours (Monday through Friday) and we'll show you around the lot.

Other things people store here
If you're already coming out to store an RV or boat, ask about our climate-controlled units and drive-up units too. Plenty of customers end up using both — vehicle out front, household stuff in a unit out back.
