Backyard Storage is a gated outdoor lot at 885 FM78 East in Marion, Texas, set up for boats, trailers, and the gear that goes with them. We're a short drive from Canyon Lake, Lake McQueeney, Lake Dunlap, and the Guadalupe River, so if you spend weekends on the water around here, this is a convenient place to park the boat the other six days.

It's also a way to keep the boat out of the sun, off the street, and out of your driveway.

Why people store their boat off-property

Convenient to the lakes around Marion

Most of our boat customers are headed somewhere within an hour of us. From the lot:

  • Lake McQueeney is about 15 minutes south
  • Lake Dunlap is about 20 minutes south
  • Canyon Lake is about 25 minutes north
  • The Guadalupe River is basically right there
  • New Braunfels (Comal River, Schlitterbahn area) is about 25 minutes

If you used to leave the boat at a marina or a house-storage spot further from your house, we're worth a drive-by to compare.

A perk you don't see at most boat storage spots

We have a propane filling station on the property. So if you run a propane grill on the boat, or you bring a small camper for overnight trips, you can top off the tank at the same stop you pick the boat up. No extra detour.

We're on FM 78 between Schertz and Seguin. From the NE side of San Antonio it's a 20 to 30 minute drive. From Schertz or Cibolo, more like 10 minutes.

Call us and we can let you know what's open. We try to give people a real answer the same day. If you'd rather walk the lot first, drop by during office hours (Monday through Friday) or you can reserve your unit online.
