Our Neighborhood
Marion, TX and the Surrounding Area
Backyard Storage is on FM78 East in Marion, right along the corridor that connects the town to Seguin one way and back toward Cibolo and Schertz the other. This part of Guadalupe County is not one single market. It is a mix of long time Marion residents, newer families who moved out from the growth around San Antonio, and everyone in between, and we built this self storage and vehicle parking facility to work for all of them.
Self Storage in Marion, TX
Marion is still small enough that FM78 is a two lane road for most of its length and people recognize each other's trucks. A lot of homes out here sit on real acreage rather than a subdivision lot, which means more room for a boat, a trailer, or a work vehicle than a standard garage was ever going to hold. We are Marion's own storage facility, not a branch of something based somewhere else, and Marion residents make up the core of who we serve.
Storage for Schertz and Cibolo Residents
Schertz and Cibolo have grown fast, and a lot of what has been built there comes with an HOA that will not allow an RV, a trailer, or a work truck to sit in the driveway overnight. Residents from both cities drive out to our Marion facility on FM78 for exactly that reason, whether they need a storage unit for household overflow or a parking space for something the neighborhood covenant will not let them keep at home.
Serving Seguin and New Braunfels
Seguin and New Braunfels anchor a lot of the shopping, schools, and daily life for people living along this stretch of Guadalupe County, and Marion sits close enough to both that commuting through here is routine. For residents of either city who are priced out of storage closer in, or who simply want a facility that is easier to get in and out of than a busier in town location, our Marion facility on FM78 is a practical option.
Universal City and Selma Storage Needs
Universal City and Selma sit on the other side of the same growth pattern as Schertz and Cibolo. Households here often run into the same driveway and garage space limits, and FM78 offers a straightforward drive out to a facility with real vehicle and RV parking options instead of a single row of units.
Storage Near Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe River
Canyon Lake, Lake McQueeney, Lake Dunlap, and the Guadalupe River are all close enough that boat ownership is a normal part of life for a large share of the households in this area, not a niche hobby. That is a big part of why our parking lineup includes covered and open air spaces built for boats and trailers, along with a propane fill station, an air and water station, and a dump station on site.
One Facility, One Region
We do not think Marion needs a different storage message for every town nearby. The actual pattern across this part of Guadalupe County is the same regardless of which city someone's mailing address says: more land, more vehicles, and less patience for an HOA telling them what can sit in the driveway. Backyard Storage was built around that pattern, not around any one city limit sign.
